Apple Studies

Hey all! Been working on some object studies recently for item/painting practice. One of which is an apple study I did recently with FaunaCreations (Tony)

He and I both worked from the same picture, he recreated it (almost perfectly I might add) and I loosely recreated a segment of it, and used another portion just for general reference.

I definitely learned a lot about rendering apples! Primarily the fact that every apple looks like a mango, ball, or pomegranate until you add the stripe/spot texturing down the sides. LOL
I also discovered that the watery brush in Manga Studio is now my favorite new toy. It's how I painted the majority of texturing, and highlights. It has a very neat effect!
